Sherlyne is a cheerful young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father, one brother and three sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched hut covered with sticks in a communal land. They fetch water from a community bore hole whose water is scarce as it is depended upon by many households. Her mother is the primary caregiver and she is a housewife. Her father does herding of other peoples livestock in the community. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet all the family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Sherlyne is enrolled in a nearby school and colouring is her favourite activity. While at home, she likes playing hide and seeks with her friends. She aspires to be a fire fighter when she grows up. Additionally, she helps her mother in rinsing utensils and sweeping the compound. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
