Esekon is a brilliant girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She is lives with her mother, father, two brothers and four sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and not safe for child consumption. Her mother is a house wife while her father depends on doing casual labour in peoples homesteads. The family also practices mat selling as an income supplementation activity. However, the annual income derived from these economic activities is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Esekon is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school going age. She likes playing with toy dolls and running with friends. Esekon has not been assigned any chores since she is still young. She would like to be a teacher when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the entire family.
