Irosh is an active and sporty little boy who lives with his brother, sister and parents in their partially constructed house located in a farming village situated in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Irosh likes to spend his time playing with his siblings and friends from the neighborhood. Irosh and friends ride bicycles along the beautiful pathways of their village. Irosh adores his stay-at-home mother who works very hard to take care of him and his siblings and also attends to the household chores. Irosh always accompanies his other to the woods to gather firewood for cooking. Irosh’s father is a farmer and he works long and hard to provide for his family. Despite his many efforts, his annual income is USD545. This family of five lives in poverty and could really use an intervention by a generous person to overcome the challenges brought on by poverty. Such an intervention will pave the way for little Irosh to reach out for a brighter future for himself with confidence.
