Teretha is a humble, social girl living in North Eastern Uganda with both parents and sibling. They live in a small hut made of grass thatch, mud walls and packed dirt. The floors are smeared with cow dung twice a month to reduce dust. Her father, who is the sole provider is overwhelmed by the family needs. Their main source of income is subsistence farming which is on a small scale. However, the area is characterised by unpredictable weather patterns coupled with infertile soils which affect the crop yield. She attends school at kindergarten. She likes listening to music and her favorite dish is millet bread and beans. Teretha loves spending time playing with baby toys made of local materials and helps the family with fetching water using small containers. The family survives on less than US 11 dollars per month which is not enough to cater for all basic requirements. We surely believe that through your kind sponsorship to Teretha, her life will change drastically.
