Shadrach and family hail from North Eastern part of Uganda. Shadrach is a talkative and friendly boy who loves playing soccer with his siblings. He lives with both parents and four siblings in a small hut made of grass thatch, mud walls and packed dirt. The hut requires constant repairs due to leaking especially during rainy season and the family uses utensils to prevent water from leaking on the bedding. The family survives through subsistence farming although the yield is low due to poor cultivation methods used coupled with unpredictable weather conditions. The father is the sole provider of basic needs, which is overwhelming due to lack of a stable source of income. The family supplements the income through providing casual labor working in the gardens of other people to get basic needs. On average, the family earns less than US 10 dollars a month. Shadrach attends school at kindergarten. His health is good. Your kind gesture to sponsor this youngster will enable him to achieve all that life has in store for him.
