Michael is a chatty, jolly boy born in North Eastern Uganda. He lives with both parents and three siblings. The family resides in thatched huts made of grass and mud walls, but the family faces a challenge of periodic repairs due to leakage of the huts during rainy season where the family spends a fortune on purchase of grass for thatching which is very scarce. Michael attends school five days a week and his favourite subject is drawing. Michael spends his free time playing soccer with his peers. The family major livelihood is agriculture where they practice subsistence farming on a small piece of land purely for home consumption. However, the yields are often insufficient due to soil infertility, crop diseases and unpredictable weather patterns. The family fetches water from a community borehole which serves more than a population of 300 households. The family lives on an average income of less than US10 dollars per month. His health is generally good. Your kind sponsorship will help Michael access essential needs for his growth.
