Marie is a lovely and cheerful girl who lives with her parents, graandmothers and uncle. She sleeps with her parents on a straw mat spread on the floor . They dwell in a two bed room mud brick self-built house with old zinc roofs in a small farming community located in the far north of Sierra Leone. Her father is a small scale farmer who grows crops like cassava, sweet potatoes, and vegetables. Their annual income is inadequate to solve some of the basic needs of Marie and the rest of the family. Square meal per day, clothing, safe drinking water and proper bed among others are often neglected. Marie is healthy and likes playing with toys. With sponsporship, her life will improve for a better future.
