Victoria is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her legal caretakers, Sebastiao and Antonia, in a slum area on the outskirts of a city located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home has brick walls, ceramic tile floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is self-built and has a tiny bathroom. The whereabouts of the father is unknown. The mother lives and works in another area. Sebastiao struggles to earn a living as a servant on constructions when available, but his very low income is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Victoria is studious, obedient and affectionate. She helps around the house by making the beds. Her favorite pastimes include playing house and with dolls. She has a dog she is passionately fond of. Victoria is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends a public school and loves Physical Education. Her wish is to be a schoolteacher when she grows up. Through your support Victoria and her family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, education and nutrition.
