Little Thishagi can easily be mistaken for a doll, which is how sweet she really is. Thishagi loves to play with dolls and is a cheerful little girl with a beautiful smile. The walls of the house are constructed of brick, the floor of cement and the roof of asbestos sheets. The family does not have a properly constructed toilet on their property for their use. The parents are unable to complete the construction of their premises and provide a safe and comfortable place for Thishagi and her brother to live in, because they do not have a means to do so. Thishagis’ father is the sole breadwinner of the family. He works very hard as a farmer and generates and income of USD510. Thishagi’s mother is a housewife. In her own little way Thishagi helps by accompanying her mother into the woods to gather firewood for cooking. If not for poverty, Thishagi and her family would have no worries.
