Mary Tamba commonly called M.A is a young girl who lives with her parents, siblings, and other close relatives in a remote village located in the northern Province of Sierra Leone. The family dwells in a mud brick house that is roofed with old zinc. Their village is exposed to poor sanitation and lacks medical facilities. The parents travel a long distance to access medication when Mary is sick. Her parents engaged in planting of seasonal crops like rice, cassava, groundnut and pepper. They also sell charcoal as an additional source of income. The estimated annual income earned from their sales is not enough to help take care of the home. Thus, the mother manages to provide a single meal a day. Despite of the above situation, Mary manages to live a better life. Sponsoring Mary will help increase the opportunity for her to be educated and live in a healthy environment.
