Musu who is commomnly called mehmu lives with her grand parents, one brother two sisters and four cousins in the rural part of Sierra Leone. Her parents are away in another region of the country finding casual job. Her village source of drinking water is from a small local well dug by the side of a swamp which produces milk colour water and not safe for drinking. Musu and family are sometimes infected with water borne diseases and diarheorra. The family dwells in a mud house roofed with old zinc and sleep on locally made bed stuffed with grass and with poor beddings. Her grandfather is a local contractor with a monthly income of USs23 which cannot address the basic needs of a family of ten. Thus, the mother only prepares a single meal a day and nothing else. Musu is however enrolled in to the community primary school and loves leading her friends in playing local games in school and at home. She has great passion for education. Sponsorship will be an opportunity for her to contnue school and become educaated to help her family in the furure with ChildFund free educatinal support.
