kasim is also called Alimu,is a smart looking boy who lives with his parents,siblings and other family members in a small village that hard to reach in the northern part of the country. The family shares a small mud brick house roofed with old leaking zinc and no ciling,he sleeps on a local bed with his parents on poor beddings. He is most times having cold in the rainy season because of the leaking roof and the wine. Kasim has not started attending formal school. His parent does farming as their family main source of income. They earn very little from the sales of their agricultural produce,which they sell after the whole hervest,they earn an imcome of $350.00 annually. This is spent everyday for food, medical, buyin batteris for the touch light that they are using at night,and buying of clothing occasionally. The money is not enough to take care of the family. Kasim likes the fun of playing with his friends. He is happier when close with her parent,he enjoys motherly care and if given the opportunity of sponsorship,he can be educated and learn more to bring a positive and lasting change.
