Risper is a cheerful girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father. She also has one brother and two sisters.. The family lives in a palm thatched house while wall is mud smeared. The land they live in is a communal land. They fetch their water from a community water tank whose water is limited in supply as it is depended upon by many households. The family depends on charcoal burning and mat waeving activity practised by the mother as the main source of financial sustenance. However, the annual income generated from this activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet all the family basic needs. Her mother therefore decided to approach the office seeking assistance. Risper is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school going age. While at home, she likes playing with improvised dolls with her sister. Sofia has not been assigned any household chores since she is still young.
