Selda is a jovial young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana. She lives with her mother, father, three brothers and three sisters. They live in palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. the family fetch their water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and in scarce. The family depends on casual labour done by he mother as the main economic activity. However, the annual income derived from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. For this reason, her mother decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Selda is not enrolled in school because she has not attained school going age and she enjoys playing with her improvised toy dolls and shakers. Her parents would like her to become a news anchor when she grows up. At home, has not been assigned any household chores since she is still young. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
