Dian is a jovial young boy who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. He lives with both parents and two brothers. They live in a palm-thatched house covered with sticks on the sides in their communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump which is saline but clean for human consumption. Nevertheless, the water is not enough for domestic use. His mother the primary caretaker of the family who depends on selling firewood. Nevertheless, their annual income derived from thus economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to cater for family basic needs. His mother therefore decided to approach the office to seek for assistance. Dian is not enrolled in school since he is still young and has not attained school-going age. He likes playing with toys, shakers and his friends. His parents would like him to become a lawyer when he grows up and also help other vulnerable people in the society.
