Zion- is a jovial young boy who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. He lives with his mother, father, one brother and seven sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched house smeared with a mud wall. The land they live in is a communal land. They fetch water from a river whose water is saline and not clean for human consumption thus pre disposing the child to water borne diseases. The family depends on mat weaving activity carried out by the mother as the main source of income and charcoal burning as a livelihood supplementation project. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet family basic needs. His mother decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Zion is not enrolled in school since he has not yet attained school going age. He likes playing with toy cars with his friends at home. His aspiration is to become a bank manager when he grows up and also help the less fortunate people in the community. Zion has not been assigned any house chores as he is still young. Your support will bring a lasting change to his life.
