Jesca is a charming young girl who lives in Turkana County in Northern part of Kenya. She lives with her father and mother, three brothers and three sisters. They live in a grass thatched hut smeared with mud on the walls in a communal land. They fetch water from the nearby local hand pump. The pump’s water is saline and not good for drinking. The water from the pump is also not enough because the whole community depends on the same pump. The family primary economic activity is charcoal burning. However, the father does herding to supplement the family economic income. The family annual income from the economic activities is below US$ 360 which hardly meets their basic needs. The family approached the office to seek assistance. Jesca has not started school since she is not of school-going age. Jesca loves playing with her brothers and sisters. Her parents aspire her to be a astronaut when she grows up. Your support will bring lasting change to Jesca’s life as well as her family’s.
