Janet is a jovial girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. She is being raised by her mother and father. Janet has two sisters. They live in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. They fetch water from a community handpump whose water is saline hence not safe for the childs consumption as it predisposes her to water borne disease. The father of the family depends on casual laborer. However, the annual income is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to sustain family basic needs. Her mother therefore decided to approach the office for assistance. Janet is enrolled in a nearby school. At school, Janet likes participating in singing games and playing with toys at home. Her mother would like her to become a nurse when she grows up. While at home, Janet helps her mother to look after her young sisters. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
