Datu, as Datukan is fondly called, studies well in school – he goes to school early and always catches up with his lesson on time. He is always excited to learn about new lessons, wtih Filipino and Science are his favorite subjects. He also greets teachers and those around him with smiles. With his friendly, respectful, and diligent qualities, he truly exhibits his dream of becoming a police officer someday! His mother takes care of their needs at home, while his father works as a public tricycle driver, earning just around $75 a month. They live in a small abode made of bamboo and plywood, with a small vegetable garden to augment their daily needs. And to further growth in their family, they attend parenting developmental session in their community.
