Victor is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Anderson and Mikaelly, and with a younger sister, in a slum area on the outskirts of a city located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is rented, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a concrete slab ceiling. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Anderson has been receiving a small unemployment benefit, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Victor is polite and affectionate. He runs small errands for his mom. He likes playing with building blocks. He has a cat he is fond of. Victor has recently been diagnosed as having autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; he takes controlling medicines on a daily basis and is under treatment with specialists (neurologist, phonoaudiologist, and occupational therapist). He attends a local public primary school and likes physical education. The family is needy and through your support Victor and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
