Happy to introduce Jerom an active and a stubborn boy. He is the only child in a family of three living in one of the remote villages in the mid-western Uganda. They grow mostly food crops like maize, beans, and cassava for home consumption. However, a little surplus is sold off the little from the crop yields to generate income to cater for family basic needs like medical care bills, good nutrition, clothing, shelter, but all is not achieved because the crop yields are often poor and low quality. The family has challenges of access to better health care services, the only available public health center one lacks adequate drug supplies, and it is a distance away from Jerom and family. The family has challenges of access to clean and safe drinking water, they depend on and draw water from an open spring well shared with animals exposing the water to contamination which is a health risk and unsafe for children. Your heartfelt choice to sponsor Jerom will enable him to have access to better education, water, health services and the community access to better livelihood empowerment programs through participation in the organization.
