Paul lives with his single-parent mother,brother and grandmother in the north of Sierra Leone in a small village that is deprived of all social amenities. The family dwells in a mud brick house of five bed rooms that is roofed with old zinc. Their source of drinking water is from the nearby swamp where they plant their rice that is not healthy for drinking. He sleeps on a local bed stuffed with dry grass and without proper beddings. His mother a petty trader that sell local produce in the market day called Lumar, she also engaged on backyard gardening for survival with an annual income of US$320.00 that can only provide a single meal a day.Paul likes playing football with his age mate. He is in good health and enrolled in to the village primary school as a beginnar. Sponsorship will help him become educated and a confident child.
