Mareme is a smart and lovely girl. She lives with her parents and siblings in one of the remote villages of the countryside. Her father is a traditional farmer like most of the people living in this community. As for the mother, she stays at home to perform the house chores. The father manages to bring home about US $ 1,200.00 each year after selling part of his crops at the end of the rainy season. This annual income is hardly enough to take care of the family’s basic needs. Mareme is not in school because she has not reached the required age. She stays at home where she enjoys having fun with her dolls and playing different games with her friends. She is also helpful with small errands. Sponsorship would help this girl have a good education.
