Fernaria is a playful girl who comes from the Northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother and two brothers. They live in a grass thatched house with sticks in a communal land and they fetch water from the community hand pump. Her mother depends on making brooms and selling. However, the annual income derived from this broom making is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support the family needs. Fernaria  goes to a nearby school in the village and she performs better in English and drawing. In addition, she loves playing rope skipping with her friends during free time. Fernaria aspires to be a teacher in future. Her mother decided to approach the office to seek for assistance which will change not only her life but also that of her family members.
