Dinithi Anuththara is a young girl living in Monaragala District, Sri Lanka, with her parents and two brothers. She helps her mother by washing clothes and cleaning the house, doing her part to support the family. Dinithi enjoys reading books, which is her favorite hobby, as it offers her an escape and helps her dream of a better future. Dinithi is a junior secondary school student, and the school is 2 km away from home. She walks to school with her mother every day, showing determination to pursue her education. Her father works as a full-time farmer, while her mother is a homemaker. Despite their hard work, the family struggles to meet their basic needs, including providing three meals a day, healthy food, and paying for their childrens education. The family lives in their own house, but it remains incomplete. The house has cement walls, a concrete floor, and a roof made of clay tiles. They get water from their well and have a toilet and electricity, but their financial situation remains difficult. They hope for a sponsor who can help lift them out of their struggles and provide a brighter future for Dinithi and her brothers.
