Promise is a jolly, kind young girl living in central Uganda with both her parents and siblings. They stay in a one roomed house made of muddy walls, thatched roofs and packed with dirt floors. Promise enjoys playing with toy cars and dolls with her friends and siblings he is always happy except when she is sick or hungry. She has one t shirt and three skirts which are old and torn, her state of sleeping is so poor because she lacks proper beddings and since the house is small, and she sleeps besides their parents with her siblings. Promise also lacks proper medical care because her parents are not financially stable to Her parents are small scale farmers who grow crops like sweet potatoes and cassava but due to climatic changes like heavy rains and lack of markets because of high competition, they get low harvest which cannot sustain their family.
