Nipuni Hansika is a little girl from the Monaragala District in Sri Lanka. She lives with her parents and five siblings. She helps her mother by gathering firewood and cleaning the house, taking on responsibilities at an early age. Nipuni enjoys dancing, which brings her joy despite the challenges they face. She goes to a primary school located 500 meters away, walking There daily with her mother. The family struggles to meet their needs. Nipuni’s father works as a seasonal farmer, earning just $480 annually. This income is insufficient to provide healthy food or cover education expenses. Her mother is a housewife, looking after the children and the household. They live in an incomplete house, with walls made of sand and sticks, a clay floor, and a roof made of clay tiles. While they have a toilet and electricity, they get water from their well. Their financial situation makes it difficult to improve their living conditions. Nipuni’s parents are hardworking but need assistance. They are seeking a sponsor to help support their children’s education and improve their situation.
