Fatoumata is a healthy and joyful young girl. She can now walk and speak but is still too young to be sent to any structure for her education. She is a restless child who is very close to her mother. She also plays with the other children. She lives with her parents and siblings in a house made of clay. In this remote area, agriculture and commerce are the main occupations of the inhabitants. Her father is a farmer and practices market gardening. Her mother also owns a small vegetable garden. She also takes care of the children. The irregular yearly income of the family is US $800.00 and is too low to cover the family needs. An extra support from a sponsor can certainly provide this child a better future.
