Vishmi is a little girl who loves to play with dolls, make play houses, dance, play hide and seek and ride bicycles with her friends. Vishmi, her brother and her parents live in a remote village in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Her favorite subject is mathematics. Vishmi also loves to help her mother with the cooking, cleaning, attend to laundry and gather firewood. They live in their own partially built house which is built with cement blocks. They possess proper sanitary facilities but do not have access to electricity and obtain water from a common well. Her mother attends to the household chores and manages the expenses on a tight budget, while her father is a farmer of seasonal crops and his annual income is USD470/-. Therefore, Vishmi, her brother and her parents are living a very difficult life. It is not possible for her father to provide any nutritious food to his children. If a kind-hearted person were to step forward to help Vishmi and her family, it would make a world of difference to their lives.
