The father is a driver with a seasonal income, while the mother is unable to supplement her husband’s income because she must keep a house for the family.  The father’s irregular income of about $100.00 a month is sometimes not enough for the family’s needs.  They live in a house made up of light materials which is good enough for the members of the family.  They use electricity for lighting during nighttime and firewood for cooking their food. Though the family is experiencing financial difficulties, they continue to live a happy and simple life. They are aware that their childs future is not as bright as they would like it to be, thus they seek outside support. They are thankful for the opportunity of being a member of the sponsorship program. Elyza Mae is the youngest child among the children. She is attending classes in public school. At her very young age, her dream was to become a doctor someday. She is very playful and has many friends in her neighborhood. Her nickname is “Elgy”.
