Wilfred is a social and friendly young boy. He stays with both his parents and siblings in a remote village in Eastern Uganda. His family thrives on subsistence farming growing food crops and only sells off the surplus during bumper harvest which rarely happens. However, due to poor planting materials, unreliable rainfall, and poor farming practices, the harvests are always inadequate to cater for the needs of the family. Their average monthly income is always US 28 dollars which is inadequate to cater for the basic needs of Wilfred and his siblings. Wilfred is not yet in school due to his tender age, however, access to medical care is a challenge because the nearest health center to their home is 20 kilometers away making it inaccessible when sick. The family resorts to the use of herbs for treatment, yet it is ineffective and puts the health of Wilfred at risk. He is very friendly and he enjoys playing with his age mates. He enjoys eating fried meat, beans, and cassava. Your kind love and support will help Wilfred to receive the assistance he needs to develop his potential.
