Joshua is a cheerful and playful young boy. He lives with both parents, one brother and a sister. They live in one of the villages in Rufunsa district about 180 kilometres east of Lusaka the capital city of Zambia. They are small scale farmers who grow mostly corn for food on a small piece of land which they own. The yield is low due to poor soil fertility, unpredictable weather patterns and poor cultivation methods. They earn about US$300 annually.  This is not enough to take care of the family and to meet their household needs. The family’s source of water is a borehole which is about 300 meters away. Joshua’s physical healthy is good. He’s not in pre-school yet, he likes playing ball games. Your sponsorship will definitely help Joshua to live a better life for the future.
