Mark is a cheerful, smart boy living in North Eastern part of Uganda with both parents and siblings. They reside in a thatched hut made of mud walls and wattle. The hut requires constant repairs mostly during rainy season without which they cannot have good sleep due to leaking of the house. The family solely depends on agriculture where they practice subsistence farming on a small piece of land purely for home consumption. However, the yields are often insufficient due to soil infertility, crop diseases and unpredictable weather. The little income earned from the sale of produce is spent on necessities. The family fetches water from a community borehole which serves more than a population of 200 households. The family survives on an average income of less than US 11 dollars per month. His favorite dish is local bread and pasted green vegetables. Your kind sponsorship will help him access essential needs for his growth and development.
