Shifrah is a quite girl who stays with her mother, two brothers and two sisters. She loves playing with her dolls made out local materials like banana fiber. She goes to school and her favorite subject is English. Her mother is the sole provider of the family as she owns a stall in the nearby market, she earns little money which is less than 30 US Dollars per month. This is not enough to sustain the family with adequate basic needs including education, health, shelter, and food. The family stays in a temporally double roomed house with cemented walls, packed dirt floor and roofed with very old rusty iron sheets. She enjoys eating rice and chicken and it is mostly prepared on special days due to inflation of commodities. Despite the above challenges, the health and general progress of Shifrah is good.
