Karen is a cheerful child that lives in one of the compounds of Kafue district with her single mother and siblings after the death of her father. Her father’s death brought so many challenges to the well-being of this child and her family due to lack of formal employment or stable and reliable source of income by her caregiver. To earn a living, her mother sells vegetables with a capital of about $20 monthly. However, the profit realized is too little to meet the daily needs of the family. It is with this regard that led the family to seek for well-wishers that would love to come on board and contribute in uplifting the living conditions of this child particularly in the areas of education and health. Sponsoring this child will raise hope for her bright future and enable her fulfill her dreams of becoming a police officer. She has been enrolled in school and enjoys learning languages and colouring. At her free time she likes playing with dolls.
