Jean Simon is a lovely little boy. He has not started attending school yet. However he is an open minded boy who counts many friends among his peers, and among the elders in the district.  Like all the children of his age he enjoys sharing games with his peers. They usually play soccer with balls they make themselves out of old socks and rags. Jean Simon lives with his parents and the other extended family members in an eight-roomed concrete-house. They have access to running water and electric supplies. The father works as a plumber. He relies on irregular earnings which are not more than US $ 1440 in a year. He finds it difficult to correctly satisfy the basic needs of his family. The mother keeps the house in shift with the other women in the house. They strive and provide two daily meals to the whole family. However, an extra support from a caring sponsor will surely secure a bright future for Jean Simon in terms of health and education assistance.
