Charlene is a cute little girl. She was born out of wedlock. Her young parents are both students. Charlene was entrusted to her paternal grandfather and his family since her weaning. The grandfather is a retired employee, relying on irregular earnings are not more than US $1,008 in a year. This cannot meet their basic needs adequately. They accommodate in a 4 roomed-house  made of concrete. They have no access to electricity supply, but they fetch water from the public fountain.  The women in the house cook in shift for the family as a whole. Cooking for lunch is a must but breakfast and dinner are not provided every day. Luckily everyone in the house is ready to help each other out. Charlene enjoys playing with dolls, the elders make for her out of rags. She also enjoys watching cartoons on T. V.  With the support of a kind sponsor, this child will enjoy better living conditions, and she will draw valuable services form the Federation programs in the fields of health and education.
