James is a charming boy who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. He is raised by his mother and father. They live in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is saline hence not safe for the childs consumption as it predisposes him to water borne disease. The mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on basket weaving activity. The family also practices firewood selling as a livelihood supplementation activity. However, the annual income is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to sustain family basic needs. His mother therefore decided to approach the office for assistance. James is enrolled in an ECD centre in a playgroup since he is still young. At school, James likes participating in singing games. His favourite game is playing with tyres and football with his friends. His mother would like him to become an engineer when he grows up. While at home, James helps his mother to look after his little brother. Your support will bring a lasting change to his life.
