Abhiru Sethees is a cheerful little boy living in the tranquil hills of Monaragala District, Sri Lanka, a region known for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. He lives with his parents and brother in a modest, incomplete home. The house is made of cement walls, a cement floor, and an asbestos sheet roof. Although they have basic amenities like tap water, electricity, and toilet facilities, their living conditions remain challenging. Abhiru’s favorite hobby is riding his bicycle, which brings him happiness in the midst of their struggles. He attends preschool, taking his first steps toward education, though his family faces many difficulties in providing for his and his brother’s education. His father works as a full-time wage laborer in farming, earning just $1000 annually, while his mother stays at home to care for the family. Healthy food is a dream for them, and they often struggle to provide three meals a day. With a sponsor’s support, Abhiru’s family could improve their living conditions and provide better educational opportunities, giving him a brighter future full of possibilities.
