Mariama is known in the family as Sarjo and lives with her parents in a small cement block without a kitchen. The house is roofed with corrugated iron sheets with good bathroom. She and the parents live in the rural area in the Savannah Region with hot and dry climate. Their main sources of income are on yearly crop production. They also do vegetable gardening in the community garden and their annual income put together could not take care of her needs with her siblings in the house. With ChildFund Sponsorship program would help transform her livelihood.
