We are introducing to you the smart Henok who lives with his parents and one siblings in a destitute area with poor hygiene. The community where the child lives is deprived where most of the members of the community are affected by leprosy and some of them are living with HIV virus. The family lives in a small rented house. He and his family speak Amharic language. His mother is a housewife and she takes care of the family. His father is a casual worker to make a living. Their minimal income, which is less than 450 USDs per annum, is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to change their lives by being engaged in income generating petty trade activities. This can be achieved if they get some support and encouragement. In order to overcome the poverty Henok is facing, he needs to be enrolled in the project so that he can get a better education and have a brighter future. Henok is primary school. When he grow up he wants to be a doctor.
