Jesse lives with his grandparents in a small trading centre in Northern Uganda. His parents separated and Jesse was taken by the mother who left him in the custody of his maternal grandparents as she moves out of the community to search for an income to cater for his needs since she does not have any clear source of income. His grandparents are elderly and struggle to make ends meet which has not been easy as their source of livelihood of farming has not been good in the past three years. Apart from the motherly love that he lacks, Jesse is not yet in school due to limited resources that they get of about US dollars 5 is used for buying other most basic needs like paraffin for lighting, salt and soap.
