Patience is a jolly and playful child who comes from an extended family living in mid-western Uganda, an area characterized by subsistence farming. They majorly grow food crops for home consumption as little surplus is sold off to generate income to cater for her medical care, clothing, and nutrition. However, all her demands are not met because her grandfather who is the sole breadwinner earns very little income through crop harvests, he gets from his small piece of land to provide for his family. Patience comes from a community faced with a challenge of access to clean and safe drinking water, the only available open spring well is being shared with animals which exposes Patience and family to water borne diseases. Her community has no access to better quality health care facilities and the only available one has limited drugs and personnel. Your kind heart to sponsor Patience will give her family the opportunity to participate in livelihood programs, access clean, safe water, and medical services.
