This is Melissa. She belongs to a needy family. The father didn’t take care of her. The mother works taking care of an old lady and earns approximately 3 USD per day. Living on just one low income and under these circumstances is not easy. Melissa speaks Spanish and attends primary school, at an early grade. She lives in a house property of some relatives, and her diet includes vegetable soup, milk, rice, beans, tortillas, bread, and tea. Luckily, shes thriving and currently weighs 22 kg and shes 1.27 m tall. Melissas favorite festivity is the Day of the Dead, because she helps with the altars and offerings. Additionally, shell be able to participate in workshops designed to discover and develop her skills. She will also learn about self-care, self-confidence and how to stay safe. These workshops will accompany Melissa while she grows up, always supporting and guiding her.
