Meet Joshua, he is the youngest child in his family and lives with both parents in a remote village in the northern part of Uganda. Joshua and his family live in a house made of mud wall, a thatched roof and a packed dirt floor. The family depends majorly on planting beans, sorghum, simsim, maize and sweet potatoes on a small piece of land for food and some surplus sold off to meet other basic needs like cloth, medical care, education. The family monthly income is less than US 30 dollars which leaves them under poor livelihood status since what they earn is not able to cater for their needs given the high cost of living in his community. Joshua is already of school going age but is not yet enrolled in school because of the family situation this has made him miss out of the foundational studies. Your choice to sponsor Joshua will help him enroll in school as his parents will attain a skill in income generation.
