Genesis is the only child of a young couple. She is a playful, sweet, and energetic girl who has much fun playing with dolls. She grows up in the city of Oruro, western Bolivia, which is famous for its carnival. Located near the border with Chile, Oruro is about 4 hours by car from the main city: La Paz. She lives with her parents in a small house made of adobe walls and corrugated metal roof. Her parents work hard to make ends meet. Her father is a driver, while her mother takes care of the household chores. They make around US $ 246.00 per month. The income that the family receives is minimal and insufficient to meet all of their basic family needs. Poverty is a daily reality that most Bolivian children face throughout their childhood, as they do not have enough resources to thrive. The story of this child can follow the same pattern if we do not do something to change it.
