Lavender is a calm young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. She lives with her mother, father and four brothers. The family lives in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. they fetch water from a community hand pump which is saline and scarce as it is depended upon by many households in the community as the main source of water. The family depends on selling charcoal as the main source of economic activity. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. Her mother therefore decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Lavender is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school going age. She likes playing with improvised toy dolls and shakers. Her parents would like her to grow up well, become a teacher in future and help other people. She has not been assigned any roles since she is still young. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the family at large.
