Nurshaira, or Chai, is the youngest of seven siblings. She is a cheerful and healthy kid who loves to eat cereals and biscuits. The family lives with their relatives in a house made of light materials such as bamboo, cheap wood, and metal roofing. Facilities like water and electricity are not available in their house. They draw water from a deep well and use a mini-solar light at night. They wish to build their own house and live independently. Their father is hardworking; he takes on odd jobs to sustain the basic needs of his family, but it is still insufficient. His wife helps by doing laundry. Two of their eldest daughters are not in school due to financial limitations. One of them earns money by working as a sales lady in a small store in town. Together, they earn $80.00 monthly, which barely supports their daily needs given that there are nine members in the family. Despite the challenges, they are grateful for their health and their ability to work together, believing that they will have a better life in the future.
