Monica is a friendly girl born in North Eastern Uganda where she lives with her grandparents. Currently She is the only child in the family. The parents are living somewhere else so the responsibility of raising her is on the hands of the grandparents who are struggling to make ends meet. They mainly depend on small scale farming in small piece of land which leads to small scale production. The family experiences food shortage due to poor yields caused by poor farming methods and bad weather in certain planting seasons. Joan and family depend on one meal a day and sometimes sleep on an empty stomach if the grandparents fail to get any casual work to supplement small scale farming. They survive on an average income of less than US 10 dollars per month which is not enough to sustain the family. Your kind sponsorship will help her access essential needs for her growth and development.
