Sama Bockarie who is commonly called Sama at home lives with her parents and other close relatives in a small village north of Sierra Leone. Their village is surrounded by swamps and thick bush which serves as breeding place for mosquitoes. She sleeps on a local bed with her parents using thick cloth for covering under an old mosquito net. Sama is yet young to attend the community primary school because of her age. She spends time playing around with friends while parents are busy with their daily activities. Her father practices rice farming and charcoal burning for their basic needs. Their annual income of US$435.00 cannot meet the basic needs of the family. They therefore depend on two meals a day. Sama likes playing with local dull.
